Zam Wesell's Airspeeder
Basic Information -

Manufacturer: Desler Gizh Outworld Mobility Corp.
Type: All-Environment Exodrive Airspeeder
Associations: Wesell, Zam
During her mission to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala on Coruscant, bounty hunter Zam Wesell employed an ultra-sleek model of airspeeder. The wickedly forked green-hued dragster emitted a chilling howl as it tore through the Coruscant skylines. Jedi protectors Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi gave chase to Zam Wesell after her botched mission. Her expert piloting skills nearly allowed her to shake her pursuers, but she hadn't counted on Anakin's tenacity. In a jaw-dropping display of brashness and Force-intuition, the young Padawan learner lept into the open air onto Zam's airspeeder. Clinging to its curved frame, Anakin attempted to cut the speeder open with his lightsaber. His actions resulted in Zam losing control, and crashing the vehicle into a busy entertainment district thoroughfare. Zam Wesell typically used stolen and disposable speeders on her routine assignments, but when a job called for raw speed and performance, she brought in her own personal model. Her Koro-2 exodrive airspeeder is a lean getaway vessel, with no offensive armaments. The Desler Gizh Outworld Mobility Corporation built the craft to survive in hostile environments, and as such it has a contained and pressurized cabin with a two-week air supply. While the Koro-2 employs standard repulsorlifts for altitude, it features an uncommon external electromagnetic-propulsion system. The forward mandibles intensely irradiate the air around them, inducing ionization and making it conductive. Paired electrodes then electrify the airstream, and it is magnetically propelled toward the rear of the craft, resulting in the air literally dragging the vessel through the skies at speeds approaching 800 kilometers per hour. The speeder isn't designated to fly in crowded urban zones such as those on Coruscant, and the radiation spill and noxious wake of the craft are several of the deleterious side effects to which Zam was indifferent.
