Movie Information -

The shovel-snouted Dud Bolt was one of the Podracer pilots competing in the Boonta Eve Classic, the dangerous race that saw the liberation of Anakin Skywalker. The barrel-chested Bolt was distinguished by the six tusk-like growths on the sides of his snout, and by the leather racing cap and goggles he wore.

Expanded Universe -

Dud, a Vulptereen, is an unscrupulous toady, working for the equally shifty Sebulba. The treacherous Dug secretly paid Bolt for any crashes he caused, and Dud worked as Sebulba's mid-air bodyguard. His penchant for dirty tricks while racing got the better of him, as he collided with Ark "Bumpy" Roose during the third lap of the Boonta. Unable to finish the race, Bolt recovered from his injuries at a Mos Espa med center.
