Gallandro is a notorious gunslinger that operated in and around Corporate Sector space. He was born on the backwater colony world of Ylix, a planet often attacked by revolutionaries and terrorists from rival colony Goelitz. Gallandro's parents were killed in the crossfire from one of the many attacks.
When he was old enough, he joined the Ylix militia. His service record was exemplary, and Gallandro was a ruthless soldier. He did not hesitate to kill. Once during a raid against a hospital, Gallandro learned he could even kill the seemingly innocent without remorse.
After the war, Gallandro gravitated from world to world, seeking out more violence. He earned the death mark on over a hundred worlds. He worked as a mercenary, a bodyguard, and a bounty hunter. He hijacked the luxury liner Quamar Messenger on its maiden voyage. He single-handedly took over the pirate-infested world of Geedon V. He holds a record for starfighter kills while flying for Marso's Demons. He even forced the Assassin's Guild to default on a contract after killing half of its Elite Circle.
He was hired by Territorial Manager Odumin to bring in the bounty of all five members of the criminal Malorm family. Gallandro led a merc-team posing as the Corporate Sector Authority Counterterrorist Security Team, and ambushed the Malorms on Matra VI. In exchange for his services, Odumin gave Gallandro general amnesty.
Odumin hired Gallandro again in an attempt to crack an illegal slaving ring that implicated several top Corporate Sector executives. To this end, Gallandro caused himself to be entered in a death duel with the Mor Ewwen Glayyd of Ammuud. This was an attempt to draw out Han Solo, and place the Mor Glayyd in Solo's debt. When that was achieved, Glayyd gave Solo the evidence of the slave ring, which Gallandro then tried to confiscate.
Solo and Gallandro crossed paths when the latter tried to claim a security case belonging to a slaver. Solo had obtained the case in one of his adventures, and he tricked Gallandro into grabbing the booby-trapped prize. The case sent paralyzing energy through both men. Faced with having to draw against the ambidextrous Solo with his bad gun-arm, Gallandro opted for surrender. Gallandro wished for another duel with Solo, to prove once and for all who was the faster draw.
A short time later, Gallandro tracked Solo down to the Tion Hegemony planet of Dellalt. There, Solo was in pursuit of an ancient treasure belonging to Xim the Despot. Gallandro accompanied Solo on this adventure. At the last moment, prior to the discovery of the hoard, Gallandro and Solo had their long promised duel. Gallandro bested Solo, injuring him in the arm. However, Gallandro was then killed by cleverly concealed automatic blasters protecting the treasure.
Gallandro was survived by his daughter, Anja Gallandro, born to a woman from Anobis. She grew up, long blaming Han Solo for her father's death. It wasn't until her mid-20s that she found out the truth of her father's fate.
Gallandro was a tall, lean man with expensive, impeccable clothing. He had graying, close-cropped hair, and a long mustache decorated with small golden beads. His blaster was slung low, and he wore it in an elaborately tooled black gunbelt.
