Motts are small, stubby-legged quadrupeds that can sometimes be heard snuffling in the mudbanks and grasses of the Naboo swamps. Motts are semi-aquatic herbivores that dwell in underground mudbank burrows. They are preyed upon by a wide variety of other beasts -- including the Gungans -- but their high reproductive rate keeps them surviving. These creatures are very good swimmers.
