The Tynnan Odumin is a reclusive Territorial Manager of the Corporate Sector Authority. Somewhat of a legend within the Corporate Sector, Odumin's mystique is bolstered by the fact that few have seen him. Even most his staff is unaware of his appearance. Rumors spread as to Odumin's true identity. Some whispered that he kept his appearance a secret since he was disfigured by an assassin. Others said he was unspeakably ugly. A few even mused that Odumin was the Emperor in disguise.

Odumin has crafted his public image carefully. A false biography was leaked to the media with no holographic imagery included. All the while Odumin posed as Spray, a skiptracer from Interstellar Collections Ltd., a career he once had when younger.

Odumin worked his way up through the Auditor-General's office as a Detached Duty agent prior to his promotion to staff position. A month previous to his death at Weerden, Imperial High Inquisitor Torbin visited the Corporate Sector on an inspection tour. While relaxing in an opulent pool, survivors of the Church of the First Frequency religious cult attempted to kill Torbin. Odumin, disguised as a Tynnan tourist, used his native aquatic skills to save Torbin and alert security about the would-be assassins. For his heroism, Odumin was promoted.

Odumin was influential in cracking slaving and criminal operations in the Corporate Sector. He is credited with single-handedly breaking the Xiochi slaver gang, and his actions caused him to become the target of the Malorm gang. The criminal family nearly killed Odumin, so the Tynnan hired notorious gunman Gallandro to permanently solve the Malorm problem.

A few years before the Battle of Yavin, Odumin was involved in a highly secretive investigation into an illegal slave ring that implicated a number of Corporate Sector execs. He again hired Gallandro to help procure information from the House Glayyd on the planet Ammuud. As Spray, Odumin claimed that he was collecting from trader Han Solo on behalf of Vinda and D'rag, two starshipwrights from Oslumpex V. He actually used Han Solo and Chewbacca to aid his investigation. With the assistance of Hart-and-Parn Gorra-Fiolla of Lorrd, Odumin was able to stop the slave ring.

Odumin is a Tynnan, a species of intelligent sea otter-like beings. He is an excellent swimmer, but has a poor sense of vision. A native to near-frigid waters, he can survive with no ill-effects in extreme cold (down to -50 degrees standard.) On his homeworld of Tynna, Odumin is regarded as a hero.
