Expanded Universe -

As an infant, Kabe survived a terrible natural disaster on her homeworld only to be captured and sold into slavery. Taken far from her Chadra-Fan roots, Kabe was abandoned on Tatooine and had to fend for herself in the mean streets of Mos Eisley.

Kabe found a friend and protector in fellow street urchin Muftak, a hulking Talz alien. The large alien cared for Kabe for years in their little warren beneath Docking Bay 83. The two developed a close friendship, watching out for each other. While Muftak offered muscle, Kabe brought in credits through pretty thievery and picking pockets.

Often, Kabe would have one too many sips of juri juice and suffer delusions of grandeur, fantasizing about the big score: breaking into Jabba's Mos Eisley townhouse. One night, she and Muftak threw caution to the desert winds and infiltrated the Hutt's residence.

They found much more than they expected. Rather than make away with just stolen loot, the pair found a captured Rebel agent who offered them thousands of credits to complete a courier run that he could not. The two agreed, and ended the caper 30,000 credits richer.

With enough money to get off planet, Kabe and Muftak left Tatooine, traveling to the Talz homeworld of Alzoc III, to the Chadra-Fan planet of Chad, and places beyond.
